Shingen - the Conqueror, takes the reader a further 10 years into the life of Shingen. In this
volume the fighting in Shinano and Kôzuke will be the focus, but also other subjects will be presented. The kagemusha legend, the family codex for the Takeda clan, the shinobi (spy) network and a look into the name Shingen - when did it came into public use. The book is filled with color plates, photographs, b/w illustrations and maps. All this to present the exiting 16th century out to new and old fans of the samurai.

Terje Solum has for more than 20 years done research on the Sengoku Jidai and has during this time managed to acquire a huge library on the Middle Ages of Japan. He also has a large collection of photographs. Terje has studied Japanese at a language institute in Okazaki Japan, and in Norway at the University of Bergen (UiB). He has a BA degree in history from USN (University of South-Eastern Norway). He liv and works in Skien, Norway. This book will be the author's fifth in the Saga of the Samurai series.
